yesterday was pretty much the best day of my life, the best birthday ever, and the most crazy time i think all of us have had at my house. love you guys and thanks for making this birthday the greatest!!!!

musica!!

ok so saturday my parents were out garage saleing (sp?) trying to find a dresser for my brother. so they got home and were all like "we found a drum set but your brother changed his mind about playing drums." so i told them that i had been wanting to learn. so they were like "ok i guess we can go back." so we left, picked up jared w (cause he knows stuff about drums) and went to go look at the set. apparently it was nice cause we bought it. so now i just need to find someone to teach me. then my dad and i had taken my guitar to get it fixed cause the piece that holds the strings at the bottom was coming off. it was going to cost 80$ to fix so my dad just said that we were going to buy me a new guitar instead. so i got a fender. its sweet. sounds like honey. then my dad tried tinkering with my old guitar and got it fixed!!! so currently we have 2 pianos, one drum set, and 3 guitars in our house. crazy madness. anyways im done. adios

dumb pieces of technology

haha i totally can't spell that. oh well at least Jared doesn't have to read this and make fun of me because of it. anyways the reason for my title is because technology is stupid!!! my family and i were in santa fe this weekend and before we left my mom had unplugged our computer. then we got back and i plugged everything in and the computer wouldn't turn on!!!! so my mom and i spend about an hour unplugging everything and plugging it back in. we finally just gave up and called mr. williams cause hes like THE MAN with computers. so he came over last night to fix it. we were all watching so if it happened again we could fix it. well apparently he unplugged the main, the plugged it in again and VOILA!!!! the computer turned on!!!!!!! we sat there laughing because my mom and i had done the same thing for an hour!!! it was awesome. so yea mr. williams is like the computer magician or something. so yea that was the computer problems. then i had gone to the zoo on thursday and was trying to take some pics. my dumb camera power button was jammed though so i couldn't turn it on!!! so i got home and tried taking the screws out to take the casing off to pop it back out. couldn't get the casing off and i landed up losing one of the screws. so happy. so i just decided to buy a new camera. should be here by monday at the latest. so excited! its going to be so pretty. anyways adios ya'll!

after 4 years, 1 month, and 20 days....

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i got my braces off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i miss them now though.

So as of right now, my life is pretty much amazing except for one minor issue. pray i can make the right decision!!! so we had a meeting at church this afternoon for all the crave leaders and for the core. we pretty much just talked about the ministry's vision, what we would like to see changed, and stuff like that. then we got this huge, amazing, astounding, incredible anouncement!!! so everyone will have to go to service next weekend to hear what us special people know!!!! woot

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

so here are the last 3 days of Tech. wednesday class was pretty much the same as the previous days. cool thing was we had gotten a break and decided to go take a walk outside. one of the girls that i had been hanging out with saw some guy she knew (cause she lives in socorro) so we went to go talk to him. we noticed when we got there that some people had cameras on the guy. then this random person came and told us we had to move to the sidewalk. not sure what the heck was going on, we asked around. then we found out that they were filming a tv show called Man vs. Cartoon. i guess they try to get the inventions that Coyote uses to get Roadrunner (the cartoon) to work in real life. it was pretty cool. then we went back to class. so that night we played capture the flag again. have to say it was pretty boring because there was like 10 people on each team. so yea... boring!!!!!

thursday was pretty exciting. we took a field trip up to Langmuir Observatory (its this like telescope i think used for atmpsheric and astrologic research). it was awesome because one, the road up there was all curvy and cool, two it was sooo cool up there (not hot like it was in the town), and the views up there were incredible!!! so we got to the top, took pictures, talked a little bit, then headed back down the mountain. it was cool. that night was the pool party. it prolly would have been a lot funner of it wasn't so windy or cold. i spent about 10 minutes in there then got out to go shower. then about an hour later some people started watching Shawn of the Dead (spoof off of Dawn of the Dead). it was interesting. we didn't want to watch it so we went swing dancing instead. or tried to anyways. no one would ask my friend and i to dance so we left. i went back to my dorm and started packing. then after everyone had to be back in their doorms for curfew, my roommate informed me that she and some friends were going to sneak out. why she told me this i have no idea. she said she didn't want me to get in trouble, which was why she told me, but what happened if someone asked me??? so i sat there thinking about whether i should tell my RA (room administrator or w/e) because it was against the rules. i wasn't going to say anything until i started thinking that if something happened to the girls, it would be pratially my fault because i knew something and didn't tell someone. so the tattle tale that i am, i txted the RA. i stayed up till about 1 listening to my roommate talk on the phone and waiting for my RA to tell me i could go to sleep. awful night.

friday was boring. at class, instead of a final, we watched an Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore. other than the fact that he just HAD to mention that he didn't win the presidental election, it was an interesting movie. so then class got out and we started walking back to our doorms to check out. i found my mommy and bro waiting on the 2 story. so we finished cleaning my room, said bye to everyone, and we left.

so overall i had a pretty good week. i realized too that there is a very slight chance that i will study Atmospheric Physics or go to Tech. so yea!!! wow that was a lot of typing. im tired..... i think im going to crash. NIGHT!

random

so tonight i went to go see Wall-E with Robert and su madre. it was an interesting movie. kinda cute/corny. that wasn't the best part of the night though. see we were in the taurus. apparently the driver's side door is werid. so robert kept trying to unlock the door after we were done eating and after the movie. lol poor kid sat there trying to open the door and shaking it and everything. it was hilarious. then his mom went and tried to help and still didn't work! so she came and unlocked my side and i had to unlock both the drivers and back seat doors. then for the movie i got my door open and the back seat then Robert FINALLY opens the drivers side. man it was awesome. lol ok bye

Day 2 and 3 of NMT

so since i didn't write anything yesterday im going to group monday and tuesday into one post. monday will be first. so yea monday morning was my first day of Atmospheric Physics. i have to say i was kinda worried because i didn't know if it would be hard or not and whether i needed to know physics or not. turns out it was pretty fun and i didn't need physics at all. we started making a sun photometer (measures airisoles in the atmosphere). so yea it took us about 3 days to finsh making that. it was fun though. then that night some people went to play paintball while the rest of us went and played capture the flag (i think). my team won!!!! then we went to bed and slept like babies.

so then tuesday morning was pretty much the same cept we also launched a weather balloon to measure the atmospheric preasure, dry temp, and wet temp. that was kinda cool to do. then that night was a dance. this was the first time i had ever been to a dance where there was no christian music and people were allowed to dance THISCLOSE!! it was funny watching lines of people grinding. talk about awkard. then the dj would play country music and 3 guys asked me to dance, one asking more than once. i told him no the second time. then after this one guy and i finished dancing we started dancing to rap in a circle and he started dancing gross and coming close to me. so since i saw people dancing like that (dirty dancing or w/e) i was scared and didn't want to cause thats not how i am. so i started telling him no and he kept telling me to. i was like NO! then he stopped. so other than that the night was fun. then we went back to our dorms and slept like babies... again!

NMT

so this week was my chance to take a peek into the college life. i went down to New Mexico Tech in socorro for a minicourse program. so we got there around 3 on sunday afternoon, unpacked my stuff in my dorm, met my roommate, and walked around campus. so the family left round 4:30 and i pretty muich hung out in my room with my roommate, Camille, and our suitemate, Margaret. so then we went to dinner and just hung out, ate food, and tried to get to know one another. so then after dinner a group of people went and played capture the flag but Margaret, 2 other girls, and i went and played egyptian rat-screw. it was awesome. so im going to keep the suspense and write about every day there... well every day. so here is day 1! stay tuned for day 2 tomorrow

so tonight was Mariah's goodbye/birthday/surprise party. it was pretty fun. we ate and played skipbo. but here is the best part of the night.

ok then. so matt and jordan had been joking around all night about tampos stopping nosebleeds. if you don't know what in the world that means, go watch She's The Man. so a while later we were just hanging out and i heard nosebleeds. so i was like "yea you use condoms to stop them". yea it was horrible because i totally meant to say tampons!! then jordan and i died laughing at my stupidity and i prayed my little heart out that very few people heard me say that. it was bad yet hilarious at the same time. ok there you go
